Edward G. Dorn & Associates, Inc. was founded in 1971 by
Edward G. Dorn II. As the Marketing Director for International
Products Manufacturing (IPM), Dorn recognized a need for automotive
manufacturers to more effectively market product technologies
nationwide. His concept of providing dynamic cutaway product schematics
led to his founding of the agency. Edward G. Dorn & Associates,
Inc. soon became the agency of choice for some of Chicago’s
largest automotive companies.
With the strength in the automotive industries, Dorn quickly built
and expanded to other markets adding Robert Bosch, GE, Borg Warner,
Gould, IPM and CR Industries to its diverse client base. Dorn
continued to be a consistent pioneer within the advertising and
marketing industry by expanding his vision into computer technology.
This firmly positioned the agency within the Chicagoland area
and by 1985 Dorn was servicing local and nationwide brands within
multiple industries including Food, Healthcare and Financial for
clients such as Bridgford Foods, Baxter Healthcare and Household
Bank.
In 1999, agency founder Edward G. Dorn II passed his vision onto
co-founder Cecilia Dorn and the second generation of DORN marketers
James and Kathy. They continue their father’s vision
and have expanded the agencies expertise into servicing the Sporting
Goods industry as well as creating the DORN Interactive division
to handle their clients interactive needs.
